Abstract

New Possibilities of Application of 2‐Furancarboxaldehyde: Synthesis of 6‐Oxaundecane‐1,2,10,11‐tetraol Starting from 2‐furancarboxaldehyde (1), a method for the synthesis of 6‐oxaundecane‐1,2,10,11‐tetraol (8) is presented and the possibilities of applying this compound for the preparation of polyurethane resins are discussed. In addition, a method for the preparation of new di(pent‐4‐enyl)ether (7) is described.
