Thus, irrespective of the stimulus direction which might prevail at the receptors in the aortic arch with its structural and elastic inhomogenities (Benninghoff, 1930;Kenner, 1967;Patel & Fry, 1964), the dynamic stimuli cover the working conditions to be expected in vivo.…”
