Show more

“…For all complexes, the most intense peak in positive ion mode originates from the fragmentation of complexes. For complexes that contain steric congestion, these ligands can be readily lost; therefore only the [MÀPtCl 2 + H] + peak is observed for complex 1, and [MÀPtCl 4 + H] + for all other complexes. [19,20] However, the molecular ion [22] and similar crystal structures show that in the case of tetradentate complexes with the edda ligand, the system prefers the s-cis geometry.…”

“…[2,3] Among the most efficient drugs are the second-generation alternatives, such as carboplatin and oxaliplatin, which have achieved worldwide approval. [4,5] Generally, Pt II complexes have structural limitations, low coordination number, and a demand for cis geometry [6] which restricts their usefulness. In contrast, Pt IV complexes with octahedral geometry have two additional ligand sites and are more kinetically inert than Pt II complexes.…”

“…1 They are biologically active and of therapeutic importance. 2,3 A modern approach to these compounds is based on the pinacol type coupling of carbonyl compounds 4,5 and their aza-analogues 6 and has been extensively studied during the last twenty years. 7 The synthesis of 1,2-diamines starts from imines and is mediated by a variety of metals and reduced metal compounds.…”

“…However, its clinical application was limited by its severe toxicity, narrow range of activity, instinct and acquired drug resistance, and poor aqueous solubility [4][5][6]. Numerous attempts have been made to develop cisplatin analogs with improved characteristics such as broader spectra of activity, higher clinical efficiency and reduced toxicity [7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14]. Besides, many efforts of developing platinum-based new agents have been made in recent years, such as orally active platinum(IV) complexes, sterically hindered platinum(II) complexes, trans-platinum complexes, multinuclear platinum complexes, sulfur-containing platinum complexes, etc.…”
