Network Pharmacology Approach Reveals the Potential Immune Function Activation and Tumor Cell Apoptosis Promotion of Xia Qi Decoction in Lung Cancer

Abstract: As the leading cause of cancer death worldwide, lung cancer (LC) has seriously affected human health and longevity. Chinese medicine is a complex system guided by traditional Chinese medicine theories (TCM). Nowadays, the clinical application of TCM for LC patients has become the focus for its effectiveness and security. In this paper, we will analyze and study the mechanism of Xia Qi Decoction (XQD) in the treatment of LC. The results collectively show that XQD could act on 41 therapeutic targets of LC. At th… Show more

“…Treatment of hyperlipidemic postmenopausal women in China with genistein (60 mg/day) for six months signifcantly lowered TC, TG, and LDL cholesterol levels, while HDL cholesterol levels as well as mRNA expression and protein levels of LDLR, and liver X receptor α (LXRα) were markedly increased [56]. Te efects of genistein on lipids profle are shown in Table 3.…”

“…In a similar way, natural products and NP approaches are being used to discover new agents or indicate new combinations to improve current therapies [98,99]. Multitarget natural dietary supplements containing some ingredients such as Ginseng extracts, Grape seed extracts, and curcumin have been shown to promote recovery from se-vere illnesses, and relieve standard therapy-induced side effects [100].…”

“…Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with antitumor effects has become an important part of clinical prescriptions of TCM and the source of new antitumor drug development [3]. Rhizoma Curcumae, known as Ezhu in China, is a plant of Curcuma L of Zingiberaceae, from dried roots of Curcuma phaeocaulis, Curcuma kwangsiensis, and Curcuma wenyujin.…”
