Network Interactions of Global Supply Chain Members

Abstract: Supply chain structure of global enterprises tend to develop dramatically. These lead to more difficulty for enterprises in managing and building information sharing systems. Thus, it is a necessary for enterprises to limit the scope of the information sharing system by selecting essential partners. The aims of this study are to quantify the cooperation of each supply chain member, and evaluate and visualize their effects in information sharing systems in order to support policymakers in making their decisions… Show more

“…Former studies likewise used databases on energy consumption (Greene et al , 2017; Khan et al , 2022; Le et al , 2021), economic development (González-Blanco et al , 2019; Kergroach et al , 2018; Pitelis et al , 2019; Rigo, 2021; Wang and Wei, 2020) and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (González-Blanco et al , 2019; Greene et al , 2017; Khan et al , 2022; Le et al , 2021; Rigo, 2021). Because no preceding studies aggregated data to allow technological, economic, sustainability and market views, Table 1 exhibits gathered data for a broader scope analysis.…”

“…This unforeseen event and its repercussions on supply networks at a global level heightened the need for tools that can provide a precise visualization of networks, actors, and the nature of the ties between them [9,13]. Concepts derived from diverse fields of knowledge, such as SNA, have gained traction in terms of application in the area of SCM [10,17,[19][20][21][22][23]. Furthermore, new developments have emerged from the application of SNA in SCM, including directed and non-directed networks [24] and the concept of semi-directedness [25].…”

“…This not only addresses structural aspects but also associates SNA with various topics, as explored by Wichmann and Kaufmann [13], indicating that the use of SNA in SCM goes beyond being just an analytical tool. Most of the studies reviewed applied SNA in the context of manufacturing, especially in the automotive sector [10,17,[20][21][22]42].…”
