Network analysis of autistic disease comorbidities in Chinese children based on ICD-10 codes

Abstract: Background Autism is a lifelong disability associated with several comorbidities that confound diagnosis and treatment. A better understanding of these comorbidities would facilitate diagnosis and improve treatments. Our aim was to improve the detection of comorbid diseases associated with autism. Methods We used an FP-growth algorithm to retrospectively infer disease associations using 1488 patients with autism treated at the Guangz… Show more

Not all children with gut dysbiosis have ASD, not all children with mitochondrial dysfunction or with some immune deficiency have ASD.…”

“…Still, due to the complexity of the computational process, the algorithms have reduced the search speed, and it is more time-consuming in the face of more complex nonlinear problems. Liu 32 set up a multisubgroup square neighborhood topology and fixed replacement probability to guide the individuals in the subgroups to be able to forage randomly in both vertical and horizontal directions to strengthen the information exchange among the individuals in each subgroup. Wu 33 introduced a flexible decreasing strategy in HHO.…”
