Abstract: A case of neonatal sepsis caused byEdwardsiella tarda, an uncommon pathogen typically associated with aquatic lifeforms, is described. The infant presented in septic shock with seizures and respiratory failure and was found to have meningitis, ventriculitis and a brain abscess requiring drainage.
