Abstract:Gastric perforation in neonates is a rare and serious issue. The condition usually occurs within the first week of life. Due to the high fatality rate, early diagnosis and prompt surgical intervention are required. Here, we describe two newborns who underwent emergency laparotomies for gastric perforation at the ages of 5 and 10 days, respectively.
