Part I -SparganosisHuman sparganosis is a zoonotic infection with a plerocercoid larva of an animal diphyllobothriid cestode. Thus, man acts as a second intermediate host. Unfortunately, only fragmentary and sometimes controversial information about the disease are available in the literature.
