Abstract:This study reports the results of a 2016 online survey on perceptions and uses of ASIS&T publications. The 190 survey respondents represented 26 countries and 5 continents, with 77% of participants coming from academia rather than practitioners. Among the emerging themes were calls for a wider scope of research from information science to be reflected in the publications (including JASIS&T and the ASIS&T Proceedings), and ongoing challenges in the role of the Bulletin as a bridge between research and practice.… Show more
