Necrotizing enterocolitis in preterm infants with poor outcome: causes, risk factors for mortality, histological changes of the intestinal lining

Abstract: Despite advances in the diagnosis and treatment of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), the associated morbidity and mortality rates remain high.
