Abstract:A line tunable singly resonant optical parametric oscillator in the 3–5 µm spectral range based on a KTA crystal pumped by 1.064 µm radiation from a Q-switched multi-axial Nd : YAG laser has been demonstrated. Thresholds of oscillation energy at different cavity lengths and at different idler wavelengths using gratings with different rulings have been measured. Energy of the generated radiation at 3.6 µm and conversion efficiency at different pump beam energies have also been measured.
Extra-cavity type II NCPM KTA OPO-based oscillator pumped by Q-switched Nd:YAG laser is developed for laser radars operating in the mid-infrared. The laser operates in the 3.0-4.5 um range with a linewidth of 0.5 nm.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
