Naue: Sacred Bones and the Politics of Native Place in Hawai'i

Abstract: First and foremost, my thanks and utmost gratitude are owed to my thesis adviser, Dr. J. Kehaulani Kauanui. She interested me in this topic, facilitated my field research through introductions, vigilantly worked through reviews of my drafts and guided my academic development and understanding. I finish this project with a more informed understanding than I could ever have hoped to attain. For her time and energy working with me on this thesis project, I will be forever grateful.
