“…Taking possible resistant strains into consideration may be unnecessary in most clinical and practical situations. As a result of nationwide surveillance of C. trachomatis antimicrobial susceptibility in Japan, the minimal inhibitory concentrations (MIC90) of ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, tosufloxacin, sitafloxacin, doxycycline, minocycline, erythromycin, clarithromycin, azithromycin, and solithromycin were shown to be 2, 0.5, 0.25, 0.063, 0.125, 0.125, 0.25, 0.031, 0.125, and 0.008 μg/ml, respectively [52].
