Natascha Kampusch – Sie geht mir einfach nicht aus dem Kopf

Abstract

Objective: Delusions and their interdependency with the biography of patients are often discussed. Are delusions the result of disturbances of the limbic system and thus biologically defined and casual or do they express the autotherapeutic capacity of the patient? Methods: The analysis of the delusions of Mr. S., protagonist of the following case report, tries to interpret them not as casual but understandable on the basis of the peculiarities of his biography. Results: Twice in his life Mr. S. appears surprisingly and finds in this life events an analogy to the biography of Natascha Kampusch. The author tries to show, that this parallel helps to interpret the delusions as a result of the efforts of the patient to solve his innerpsychic dilemmata. Conclusions: Efforts to understand -together with the client -the context of his delusions helps him to leave the deficit model and understand himself as creative, a helpful experience for further psychotherapy.
