“…The SPVD resistance performance exhibited by the SPVD‐resistant progeny is similar to that of the female parent, New Kawogo, which was reported to have moderate SPVD field resistance (Mwanga et al, 2001). Most of the released high‐yielding and orange‐fleshed cultivars in Uganda are resistant to SPVD (Mwanga et al, 2009).
