Abstract: The nasal cycle is a phenomenon whereby alterations in airflow alternate between left and right nostrils. During a nostril’s decongested – or dominant – state, the contralateral nostril is congested, or non-dominant. Intranasal oxytocin may elicit anxiolytic effects.
