Nasal Bleeding Associated with Fluoxetine and Risperidone Interaction: A Case Report

Abstract: Here we report a 22-year-old man with schizophrenia who developed nasal bleeding with the fl uoxetine and risperidone combination. Nasal bleeding was not observed with either fl uoxetine or risperidone alone. A variety of mechanisms might explain this bleeding side eff ect of the fl uoxetine and risperidone combination. Our experience highlights that more attention needs to be paid to this combination, especially in susceptible patients.Mowla A et al. Nasal Bleeding
