Narrowing of Plasmon Resonance Peaks as an Ensemble Effect

Abstract: The frequency of localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) displayed by gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) redshifts as a function of their local refractive index, which renders them valuable transducers for sensing applications.
