“…Therefore, the mainstays of treatment are antihistamines and adrenaline in autoinjector . Other therapeutic options in CM include narrow‐band UVB phototherapy, a photochemotherapy (UVA and psoralen), antileukotriens, and short‐term high‐potent glucocorticoids . Noteworthy, rupatadine efficacy in reduction in the severity of mediator‐related symptoms and quality of life improvement were proved in a randomized, double‐blind, placebo‐controlled trial .…”

“…Mastocytosis is characterized by excessive expansion and accumulation of clonal mast cells in one or more organs including skin . Several treatment options have been successfully used in treatment of skin symptoms associated with mastocytosis . Here, we retrospectively describe a case series of four adult patients with mastocytosis seen at our department over a 3‐year period (Table ).…”

“…All patients were instructed to wear protective spectacles during the treatment period; additional therapy was restricted to the use of emollients. The efficacy of the PUVA therapy was defined as improvement of pruritus, cutaneous lesions, and/or a decrease in the appearance of new lesions 3 and 6 months after the end of treatment as compared with pre‐PUVA evaluation . All patients gave their informed consent to participate in this study.…”
