ZusammenfassungDie Rückgewinnung politischer Handlungsfähigkeit gehört zu den zentralen Aspekten gegenwärtiger Theoretisierungen von Postdemokratie. Der Beitrag diskutiert diese Frage mithilfe einer Lektüre von Raul Zeliks Roman Der Eindringling (2012) und untersucht, wie dieser Text -anhand des Themas aktueller "postpolitischer" Jugend-und Popkulturen -Narrative fehlender Handlungsfähigkeit modifiziert. Der Aufsatz fokussiert dabei auf die Metapher der Schwelle, einen Begriff, den Zelik auch in nicht-fiktionalen Texten verwendet, um emanzipative Perspektiven zu theoretisieren. Im Eindringling wird er als Schritt aus "hermetischen" Verhältnissen mit der Erzählung von Subjektivierung, sinnlicher Erfahrung und politischer Emotion, als Voraussetzung kollektiver Praxis, verknüpft. Neben dem spezifischen postdemokratischen "Problemhorizont" wird damit allgemeiner nach dem produktiven Beitrag von fiktionalen Narrativen für politische Theorie gefragt. By reading Raul Zelik's novel Der Eindringling (2012) and its portrayal of present "post-political" youth and pop cultures, the article asks how narratives of restricted agency and absent collective political action are updated and challenged by the text. It discusses how the threshold metaphor is used in the novel to theorize current perspectives of political emancipation in "hermetic" times. The metaphor is also employed by Zelik in some of his non-fictional texts, in Der Eindringling, however, it is conjoined with a literary account of subjectivization, feelings, and political emotions, that are crucial to political movement and agency. Thus, alongside its' post-democratic "problem horizon", the article investigates into the productive contribution and "textual co-operation" (M. Löffler) of fictional narratives to political theory. In recent decades, debates on the relationship between pop culture and the political have transgressed academia and have even been prominent in pop (media) discourses and texts, including pop literature. Amongst the contributions at the intersection of art, theory and entertainment are the novels and essays by the German author Dietmar Dath. Taking the example of his novel Für immer in Honig (Berlin 2005), it will be discussed how the book reloads and theorizes pop culture, and how a common cultural-theoretical narrative of de-politicized pop is challenged by the imaginative narratives of the novel.It will be argued that Dath's references to affective 'mattering maps' of pop culture, that on the one hand tend to fall into the pitfalls of exclusive 'pop sophistication', nevertheless play a key role for his aesthetical/theoretical project of political emancipation, and that these references can be viewed as examples of why popular passions matter for the formation of political identities/subjectivities as well as for the production and reading of political theory.
