Nanotitanium Oxide Particles and Jute‐Hemp Fiber Hybrid Composites: Evaluate the Mechanical, Water Absorptions, and Morphological Behaviors

Abstract: Organic fiber-based biocomposites have gained prominence in a variety of sectors over the last four to five years due to their exceptional mechanical and physical properties. Natural fiber-based composites are increasingly being employed in autos, ships, airplanes, and infrastructure projects. The current study will look at the effect of nanotitanium oxide (TiO2) fillers on the properties of hybridised jute-hemp-based composites. In this work, TiO2-filled biocomposites were created using the hand layup method … Show more

“…Similar observations are reported for jute-hemp fiber reinforced epoxy composites and bamboo fiber reinforced polyester composites filled with titanium oxide. 34,35 The shore D hardness values of the composites under this study are measured to be 71.12, 79.23, 87.85, and 95.45 for RFCT-0, RFCT-1, RFCT-2, and RFCT-3 composites, respectively. The results indicate that the hardness of the composites increases with the increase in concentration of titanium oxide.…”

“…A 250 gsm woven glass mat with a typical thickness having 0.65 mm is utilized as a strengthened material. GVR fbre industry gave the jute and glass fbres as shown in Figure 1 mats in Madurai, Tamilnadu, and India [18]. Te value of warp and Tex are maintained as 0.25 mm for each fabric, followed by the weaving as 1 m/2 h.…”
