Ultrafine fibers manufactured through electrospinning are a frontrunner for advanced fiber applications, but transitioning from potential to commercial applications for ultrafine fibers requires a better understanding of the behavior of polymer solutions in electrospinning to enable the design of more complex spinning dopes. In complex fluids, there are viscoelastic stresses and microstructural transitions that alter free surface flows. These may not be seen in shear rheology; therefore, an in-depth analysis of the extensional rheological behavior must be performed. In this work, we use dripping-onto-substrate rheometry to characterize the extensional viscosities of electrospinning dopes from four polymer solutions commonly used in electrospinning (low- and high-molecular-weight polyvinylpyrrolidone in methanol and water as well as poly(ethylene oxide) and poly(vinyl alcohol) in water). We link the electrospinnability, characterized through fiber morphology, to the extensional rheological properties for semidilute and entangled polymer solutions and show that high-surface-tension solvents require higher extensional viscosities and relaxation times to form smooth fibers and that the Deborah and Ohnesorge numbers are a promising method of determining electrospinnability. Through this tie between solvent characteristics, viscoelasticity, and electrospinnability, we will enable the design of more complex spinning dopes amenable to applications in wearable electronics, pharmaceuticals, and more.

La ciudadanía digital, también conocida como ciberciudadanía y/o e-ciudadanía, conceptualmente es el comportamiento apropiado y responsable que concierne a los medios tecnológicos aún con la complejidad e implicaciones que marca el uso de cualquier dispositivo que se encuentra al alcance de la sociedad en general. De igual manera, es la participación ciudadana a través de una interfaz digital o electrónica, muchas de ellas en el entorno de internet y de las redes sociales. Es por ello que la sociedad digital tiene derecho al acceso de la información en línea en el ciberespacio, más aún en el mundo globalizado en el que nos encontramos a fin de evitar la brecha digital. La presente obra, Hacia la ciudadanía transdigital, se divide en dos ejes temáticos. La primera es la ciudadanía digital y sociedad, donde se abarcan temas relacionados sobre cómo los seres humanos en sus diversas actividades que desarrollan en su vida cotidiana son apoyados mediante los medios digitales, por lo tanto, han tenido la necesidad de adaptarse para pertenecer a la comunidad en línea, dando con ello la apertura al quehacer tecnológico en el ámbito social.

Bu çalışmada, spor ve teknoloji kavramları ile birlikte Olimpik spor branşlarında kullanılan teknolojik sistemlere ve bunların kullanım alanlarına değinilmiş olup farklı uygulamaların ve sistemlerin spor branşlarındaki kullanım şekillerinden kısaca bahsedilmiştir. Teknoloji ile birlikte günümüzde sıklıkla kullanılan ve birçok spor branşına uyarlanmış olan teknolojik sistemler ile bu sistemlerin olimpik branşlar arasındaki ilişkisi incelenirken, branşlara özgü örnekler de verilmiştir. Ayrıca spor branşlarında kullanılan bu teknolojik sistemlerin branşlara ve üst düzey sporculara etkisine, kullanım amaçlarına, kullanım yerlerine, spor branşlarındaki kullanım sıklığına ve teknolojinin modern olimpiyat oyunları üzerindeki etkisine değinilmiştir. Araştırmada sporun, teknolojik sistemlerin entegre edilmesiyle birlikte geldiği boyutla ilgili alan yazın çalışmalarına da yer verilmiştir. Araştırma, sporda teknoloji kullanımına yönelik bir derleme çalışmasıdır.
