“…Such an interaction would allow electrophilic activation of methane and reversible cleavage of the CÀHb ond by protonation of [D 6 ]benzene, [D 8 ]toluene, or [D 12 ]cyclohexane (Scheme2). [17] Comparable reaction pathways have been suggested for methane activation reactions at zeolites. “…During aging, Mg 1-x Cu x FOH formed a network because of the strong tendency of F atom to act as a bridge between metal atoms [3]. The process kept going until a stable gel of Mg 1-x Cu x FOH was formed.…”

“…Among these catalysts, metal fluorides are the promising catalysts in a corrosive atmosphere (HF) and elevating temperature conditions. Aluminum fluoride catalysts is a representative catalyst for dehydrofluorination due to its surface acidity which is key to the catalysis . Miller et al used the AlF 3 catalysts to the dehydrofluorination of 1, 1, 1, 2, 2‐pentafluoropropane (HFC‐245cb), and the catalyst activity was very unstable.…”

[12] Miller et al used the AlF 3 catalysts to the dehydrofluorination of 1, 1, 1, 2, 2-pentafluoropropane (HFC-245cb), [13] and the catalyst activity was very unstable. Also, Uenveren et al investigated comparatively the dehydrofluorination of 1, 1, 1, 2-tetrafluoroethane over AlF 3 and AlF 3 -Al 2 O 3 catalysts, respectively, AlF 3 -Al 2 O 3 catalysts have a higher initial activity but a weaker catalytic stability owing to carbon deposition or coke.…”
