Abstract:Enhanced Raman spectroscopies, such as surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) and tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS), are based on the amplification of intrinsically weak Raman signals of a molecule by metallic nanostructures. The main enhancement is attributed to electromagnetic enhancement.
