Nanoplatform Self‐Assembly from Small Molecules of Porphyrin Derivatives for NIR‐II Fluorescence Imaging Guided Photothermal‐Immunotherapy

Abstract: Combinatorial photothermal and immunotherapy have demonstrated great potential to remove primary tumors, suppress metastases, and prevent tumor recurrence. However, this strategy still confronts with many limitations, such as complex components, sophisticated construction and inadequate therapeutic e cacy. In this work, we develop small molecules of porphyrin derivatives (PPor) which can selfassemble into monodispersed nanoparticles without supplement of any other ingredients or surfactants. The formed PPor nan… Show more

“…The electron excitation of the compounds showed a poor overlapping between the electron and hole, indicating a typical charge transfer characteristic (Figure S3). 28 The calculated oscillator strength (f) also proved that TR2 and TR3 were more easily excited to S 1 than TR1. 29 These calculations showed that the f and ΔE ST of TR2 and TR3 were close in values, which could explain their similar 1 O 2 production under ultrasonic treatment.…”

“…Combining ICB with phototherapy is one of the methods to improve the efficacy of ICB. [192][193][194] In order to effectively combine ICB with phototherapy and obtain efficient and safe combined treatment, Cao et al [195] proposed a porphyrin-based nanoparticles (PPor NPs) with a D-A structure. Based on the strong intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) effect of the D-A structure, the nanoparticles exhibited excellent NIR-I absorption and NIR-II fluorescence emission and showed a photothermal conversion efficiency of 70% under 808 nm laser irradiation.…”
