Nanoimpedimetry with plasmonic nanoparticles

Abstract: This paper introduces a new nanosensor that can record electrical currents optically. We demonstrate a robust non-fluorescent approach via chemically stable metallic nanoparticles that promises to enable electrical measurements in complex environments.
