Abstract: Purpose: This in vitro study aimed to evaluate and compare the physical and antimicrobial properties of provisional resin modified with two different nanoparticles, namely, silicon dioxide (nano-SiO2) and titanium dioxide (nano-TiO2). Methods: A commonly used commercially available polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) provisional resin (Unifast III; GC Corp) was modified with nano-SiO2 and nano-TiO2 at different concentrations (1% wt. and 2.5% wt. respectively), while one unmodified group was used as a control.
