Nano Pt/TiO2 photocatalyst for ultrafast production of sulfamic acid derivatives using 4-nitroacetanilides as nitrogen precursor in continuous flow reactors

Abstract: The design of reactors based on high performance photocatalysts is an important research in catalytic hydrogenation. In this work, modification of titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs) was achieved by preparation of Pt/TiO2 nanocomposites (NCs) through photo-deposition method. Both nanocatalysts were used for the photocatalytic removal of SOx from the flue gas at room temperature in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, water, and nitroacetanilide derivatives under visible light irradiation. In this approach,… Show more

“…The peaks detected at 1374.24 cm −1 and 1614.85 cm −1 were assigned to the stretching vibrations of C-O and C-H bonds, respectively, in agreement with an earlier study. 45,46 Furthermore, the stretching vibrations of H-O groups were associated with the band at 3423.10 cm − , 1 as reported in the previous study. 47 Fig.…”

“…The following equation was used to calculate the adsorption efficiency of the synthesized NPs for both CV dye and Cr( vi ): 40 where C e represents the residual dye concentration (mg L −1 ) and C i stands for the initial dye concentration (mg L −1 ). The dye concentration values for all the samples prior to and post adsorption were obtained using the equation shown below to calculate the amount of dye adsorbed: 41 where m denotes the mass of adsorbent (g), q e (mg g −1 ) denotes the amount of CV dye adsorbed by the NPs at equilibrium, and V stands for the volume of the solution (L).…”

“…The first group can be refined by suitable sieves that remove the pollution physically. The latter group of air pollutants must be removed through purification by some chemical conventional methods such as adsorption, ionization, plasma technologies, and photocatalytic decomposition. , The second group of air pollutants primarily consists of NOx, SOx, CO 2 , and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) . The origins of gaseous pollutants are some processes that occur in the landfill naturally and or industrial activities of human beings .…”
