Nano‐Nickel Aluminates: A Sustainable Nanocatalyst for Solvent‐Free Acetylation of Alcohols Phenols and Amines

Abstract: Hexagonal normal spinels of nano-nickel aluminate (NiAl 2 O 4 ) have been successfully synthesized through a greener microwave assisted technique using urea as a base. The structure and morphology of synthesized nanomaterials were examined by Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD), Field Gun Emissions-Scanning Electron Microscopy (FEG-SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area, Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Infrared spectroscopic (IR) analysis, which show the polycr… Show more

“…Hence, it is essential to adopt the greener and eco‐friendly techniques for the benefits of mankind and ecosystem . In this context, the use of nanomaterials for various applications including photocatalytic degradation employing semiconductor materials has emerged as one of the most eco‐friendly and promising techniques . Zirconia (ZrO 2 ) and zirconia‐based catalyst have attracted the attention of many researchers, because of its inert chemical nature, higher oxidative potential, lesser production cost and therefore have been extensively studied for the decontamination of water as well as air .…”
