N7-Methylguanosine Genes Related Prognostic Biomarker in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Abstract: Background: About 90% of liver cancer-related deaths are caused by hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). N7-methylguanosine (m7G) modification is associated with the biological process and regulation of various diseases. To the best of our knowledge, its role in the pathogenesis and prognosis of HCC has not been thoroughly investigated.Aim: To identify N7-methylguanosine (m7G) related prognostic biomarkers in HCC. Furthermore, we also studied the association of m7G–related prognostic gene signature with immune infil… Show more

“…Mei et al obtained m7G-related genes from former literatures and GSEA website and established a three-gene signature (EIF3D, EIF4A1, LARP1) via univariate and LASSO Cox regression in prostate cancer [22]. Regmi et al acquired m7G-related genes from prior studies and established a three m7G-related signature model (CDK1, ANO1, and PDGFRA) through univariate and LASSO Cox regression in hepatocellular carcinoma [23]. Fei Lu et al retrieved 29 m7G-related genes from published literature and Molecular Signatures Database and identi ed 15 genes associated with overall survival of lung adenocarcinoma [24].…”

“… 112 CDK1‐based ANO1 prognostic modelling can accurately predict the prognosis of HCC patients. 113 ANO1 is closely associated with vascular infiltration and negatively correlated with HCC prognosis. 114 Diltiazem is a calcium channel blocker that suppresses tumour growth by inhibiting calcium influx.…”

“…Cell cycle protein‐dependent kinase 1 (CDK1) is highly expressed in HCC tissues and is associated with poor prognosis 112 . CDK1‐based ANO1 prognostic modelling can accurately predict the prognosis of HCC patients 113 . ANO1 is closely associated with vascular infiltration and negatively correlated with HCC prognosis 114 .…”

“…The relationship between m7G and LIHC has been marginally explored. Currently, four papers have used bioinformatics analysis to explore the relationship between m7G and LIHC (25)(26)(27)(28). They constructed different models by bioinformatics to predict valid biomarkers.…”
