“…Rhizobacteria and endophytic bacteria can affect plant growth either directly or indirectly. Factors that directly promote plant growth include biological nitrogen fixation (Christiansen-Weneger 1992), solubilization of soil phosphorus and iron (De Freitas et al 1997), synthesis of several different phytohormones (Bastian et al 1998) and a number of enzymes, such as 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC) deaminase (Safronova et al 2006).
