N-acetylcysteine induces shedding of selectins from liver and intestine during orthotopic liver transplantation

Abstract: SUMMARYIn orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT), N-acetylcysteine (NAC) reduces ischaemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury, improves liver synthesis function and prevents primary nonfunction of the graft.
