Myolipoma

Abstract

Myolipoma is a benign lipomatous tumor composed of mature adipose tissue and welldifferentiated smooth muscle cells. Clinical Features • Incidence Myolipomas are rare with less than 100 cases reported in the literature (Meis and Enzinger 1991; Fukushima et al. 2017). • Age The median age is approximately 55 years with a relatively broad range (28-94 years) (Meis and Enzinger 1991; Fukushima et al. 2017). • Sex Females are predominantly affected (F:M approximately 15:1) (Meis and Enzinger 1991; Fukushima et al. 2017).
