Abstract:Protective immunity against intestinal helminths requires induction of robust Type-2 immunity orchestrated by various cellular and soluble effectors which promote goblet cell hyperplasia, mucus production, epithelial proliferation and smooth muscle contractions to expel worms and reestablish immune homeostasis.
