Mycoplasma pneumoniae P1 Genotype Indicates Severity of Lower Respiratory Tract Infections in Children

Abstract: Background. Mycoplasma pneumoniae (M. pneumoniae) strains can be classified into two major genetic groups, P1 type 1 (P1-1) and P1 type 2 (P1-2).
