Abstract:Mycobacterium marinum is a non-tuberculous mycobacteria present in natural and non-chlorinated bodies of water. It is a known fish pathogen but can also cause human disease. It usually causes cutaneous lesions but in rare cases may originate more invasive diseases with the involvement of deep structures.
