<p style="text-align: justify;">The delivery of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning to improve an individual’s competence and future career interests has become a critical scientific undertaking for teachers and researchers alike. A plethora of research has proposed various hands-on robotics activities built on constructivist theories, thereby facilitating the development of knowledge based on reality for scientific and non-scientific stakeholders. Robotics may become an essential focus point within technology provision, which is an essential underlying characteristic for the seminal development of computational thinking (CT). However, despite the potential benefit of CT in developing an individual’s problem-solving skills, strategies for improving this ability through hands-on robotics activities largely remain underexplored. This paper highlights the constructs drawn from hands-on robotics activities in a STEM workshop designed for pre-service teacher students. The qualitative research design involved eight participants to investigate the responses of pre-service teachers to a hands-on robotics activity intended to provide STEM material. The research findings emphasise the correlations between the CT principles and STEM learning phases and underscore the roles played by educational robotics to enhance previous literature on learning experience.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">This research aimed to explore the influence of a robotic program using the robot kit "RoboBuilder RQ+110" on students' attitudes toward effective communication. The study used a quantitative research design and involved 475 grade 4 (10 years old) students from Malaysia's Selangor and Malacca states. A quasi-experimental research (pre-test & post-test) approach with control and experimental groups was adopted, and the data were analyzed with inferential statistical test and repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) using SPSS 25 software at 0.05 significance level. Questionnaires were administered to collect data from the experimental and control groups. The results showed statistically significant changes (α ≤ .05) in attitudes toward effective communication for the experimental group that received a robotics program compared with the control group. The study results suggest that innovative technological tools or programs such as robotics programs are recommended as innovative science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) program rooted in constructivism to improve students' attitudes toward effective communication.</p>

El objetivo de la investigación es establecer la incidencia en los atributos de pensamiento tecnológico de los estudiantes de tercer grado de un colegio público en Bogotá D.C., a través la implementación de dos actividades tecnológicas escolares, una con estrategia didáctica de construcción y otra con estrategia de análisis basado en ingeniería inversa. El enfoque metodológico es cuantitativo. El diseño metodológico es cuasiexperimental con tres grupos, a conveniencia (uno en cada intervención y otro con metodología habitual). Se utiliza el instrumento de atributos del pensamiento tecnológico para registrar las observaciones pre y pos. Los resultados muestran ganancia en los tres grupos; sin embargo, hay una mayor ganancia con menor dispersión, cuando se utilizan las actividades tecnológicas escolares. A manera de conclusión, la metodología favorece el pensamiento tecnológico del estudiantado, promoviendo la interacción colaborativa con artefactos tecnológicos, a través de actividades intencionadas en el contexto propio de la educación en tecnología.
