My Life, Our Story: Safeguarding Patient Agency in Narrative Medicine Curricula

Abstract: that would require hospital employers to fill any inflation-related compensation gaps. This would give residents assurance that their year-to-year purchasing power would not fluctuate significantly. The cost of medical education has continued to increase as residents have faced new challenges in and out of the hospital due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hospital systems have a chance to improve resident financial security by stopgapping the insidious loss of wages they are experiencing.
