Innovation plays a key role for improving the sustainability performance of corporations. A truly sustainable innovative firm needs to take the social, environmental, and economic aspects of sustainable innovation into consideration. However, limited studies have investigated the economic aspect of sustainable innovation, especially in the context of supplier evaluation from emerging economies. To deal with this issue, this manuscript puts forward a criteria decision framework for evaluating economic sustainable innovative suppliers.A new methodology based on fuzzy Full Consistency Method (FFUCOM) and Improved Combinative Distancebased Assessment (ICODAS) is developed and extended using interval rough Dombi-Bonferroni operators. In the developed approach, the FFUCOM is employed to determine the criteria weights, and the ICODAS is responsible for assessing and ranking the suppliers. A case study from the manufacturing sector of an emerging economy is considered for validating the developed framework and decision model. The findings introduce the "financial resumption of products" as the most critical economic innovation criterion for evaluating suppliers. This article significantly helps decision-makers and practitioners to better comprehend the underpinnings of sustainable innovation economic dimension, particularly when assessing their suppliers. Furthermore, the applicability and validity of the proposed model was confirmed by the results of sensitivity analysis. Findings demonstrated that the proposed method is a solid and useful MCDM framework, and its outputs are precise and acceptable.INDEX TERMS Sustainable innovation; sustainable supply chain management; supplier evaluation and selection; full consistency method (FUCOM); combinative distance-based assessment (CODAS).

Researchers work hard to embrace technological changes and redefine the quality management as Quality 4.0 (Q 4.0). In this context, the purpose of the current work is twofold. First, it aims to compare the preparedness of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for sustaining in Q4. Second, it intends to propose a novel hybrid spherical fuzzy based multi-criteria group decision-making (MAGDM) framework with Einstein aggregation (EA). A real-life case study on six SMEs is carried out with the help of three experts. For aggregating the individual responses (using spherical fuzzy numbers or SFNs), EA is used. Then two very recent models such as Simple Ranking Process (SRP) and Symmetry Point of Criterion (SPC) are extended using SFN to rank the SMEs. Finally, the validation tests and sensitivity analysis are carried out. It is noted that the application of analytical tools, knowledge management and use of technology under the support and mentorship of visionary leadership are the key criteria for building up the capability to embrace Q 4.0. Interestingly, it is noted that medium scale firms are better prepared than small-scale enterprises. This work is apparently a first of its kind that focuses on SMEs for assessing their quality management practices in Industry 4.0 era.

Selecting suppliers involves making decisions based on multiple criteria and options, making it a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem. Optimal decisions can help the entire supply chain to reduce costs and increase efficiency. However, uncertainty in supplier selection can increase the risk of incorrect choices and unforeseen consequences, which may stem from criteria weights or supplier performance. To address these challenges, this paper presents the Triangular Fuzzy-Grey (TFG) system, an innovative approach for MCDM problems. Integrating grey numbers and triangular fuzzy numbers, the TFG system extends fuzzy logic. Grey systems and fuzzy numbers are valuable tools in MCDM, each with their own advantages and limitations. Grey systems exhibit robustness in handling uncertain and incomplete information, aided by their intuitive models. They offer prediction capabilities and adaptability, although they may provide approximate solutions and rely on expert judgment, lacking a comprehensive theoretical foundation. Fuzzy numbers excel in handling uncertainty, accommodating vague data, and expressing linguistic preferences. They facilitate criteria aggregation and accommodate various decision variables. Combining grey systems and fuzzy numbers enhances decision-making, leveraging their strengths to address uncertainty and improve accuracy. The TFG system effectively handles uncertainty by assigning higher probabilities to smaller, more certain areas. To demonstrate its effectiveness, an integrated TFG WLD-SAW model is proposed for green supplier selection, where Supplier No.2 with 𝕊𝕊 𝑖 ̂= 3.3202 is selected as the best green supplier. Comparative analysis using the Zakeri-Konstantas weighted rankings similarity measure shows that TFG WLD achieves similar results to fuzzy and grey WLD methods in solving the green supplier selection problem.
