“…The degree of inflammatory cell infiltration surrounding the tiny airways was used to quantify the level of inflammation, which was rated on a scale from 0 to 4. The criteria ( Brassard et al, 2021 ) were as follows: 0, no cells; 1, a little inflammatory cell infiltration around the airway; 2, 1-2 layers of inflammatory cells infiltrating around the airway; three points, 3-5 layers of infiltration; 4, more than five layers of infiltration. Inflammation scores were completed by one investigator in a single-blind manner.…”
