Abstract:In 1979 Wu Dajiang wrote the score to King Hu’s film Raining in the Mountain, which engages with the filmic presentation of the bodies embedded in the religious and cultural landscapes. This article seeks to explore the bodily rhythm and narrative of the film and the way they express Buddhist ideals.
