This is a remarkable book. It appears relatively brief, at 148 pages of text, but it is richly packed with references and with allusions to a range of music, which inform the author's fascinating speculative thinking.Roger Kennedy has a distinguished background in child and adolescent psychiatry and in psychoanalysis. What is most apparent throughout this book, however, is that he also has a deep and loving relationship with music, and it is the nature of that relationship, and above all of the emotional power of music, that he sets out to explore.The book is rather 'classically' structured (in some ways, a clue to what is to come). The opening and closing chapters are entitled 'Overture' and 'Finale' respectively, with chapters in between attending to preverbal experience, historical observations on music's place in human evolution and, most importantly, the question of music and emotion. I draw attention to this because it reflects, perhaps, some sort of movement from initial enquiry to tentative formulation, which might mirror something of the analytic process. La red social Clubhouse es un fenómeno sin precedentes, por su rápido crecimiento en un único año de vida y por sus originales características. Aunque sólo puede ser descargada en un dispositivo con sistema iOS y previa invitación privada de un usuario registrado. Esta investigación ahonda en sus claves, usos y posibilidades a través de una metodología correlativa: 1) Investigación bibliográfica longitudinal sobre los conceptos de conectividad, fenómeno Clubhouse, y sus antecedentes, problemas o dilemas, tendencias y posibles cambios; 2) Análisis cuantitativo de los 50 primeros influencers de Clubhouse a partir de las categorías: Número de seguidores, Cargo/sector profesional, Nacionalidad, Generación, Sexo. Se concluye que Clubhouse tendrá que validar su espacio propio, más allá de la COVID-19 y sus limitaciones técnicas, remarcando sus fortalezas: no importan la imagen ni los likes, salas de debate íntimas, discusiones no medidas sobre temas de actualidad con líderes de opinión e influencers, y la voz como herramienta básica, accesible y universal contra la brecha digital.

This paper explores insight and the development of the thinking voice in the psychoanalytic process. It begins with music and images, narrating an important Australian historical event. The composers have created a dreaming space, and for this paper, a metaphor for the analytic space and the creative process. At once physical, aural and visual, it also exists within and reflects the patient's and analyst's shared historical and cultural frame. It is a liminal space, for exploration, crossing, and a product of the alchemy created between patient and analyst. Pickering's (2016) and Grier's (2019) consideration of musicality as an essential part of the analytic experience assists recognition of the multidimensional nature of the space created between patient and analyst. Ferro and Civitarese's (2015) conceptualization of the space where patient and analyst dream one another, and Baranger and Baranger's (2008) discussion of the bi personal field are pertinent here. Symington's idea of insight as an essential ‘thing in itself’, within the individual patient helps articulation of insight as a product of an internalized linking, or parental intercourse, enabling movement to a separate third position.
