Music and Mathematics in Latin America: Major Developments in the Last 25 Years

Abstract: This text is an overview for Latin America across the field of music and musicology intersecting mathematics, including the advances from perspectives of experimentation, creation, analysis and pedagogy throughout interdisciplinary developments, particularly in the field of computational science and philosophy of science. Our main goal is to spread worldwide the richness and variety of research on music and mathematics in Latin America as well as stimulate further investigation in this fascinating intersection.
