Abstract: Musculoskeletal coccidioidomycosis is a rare disseminated fungal infection caused by either Coccidioides immitis or Coccidioides posadasii endemic to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, as well as Guatemala, Brazil, and other locations in Central and South America.
