Some other terms which have been given to these patients are, “wandering jew syndrome” (Wingate, 1951), “hospital frauds” (Sjöbert, 1951), “hospital hoboes” (Clarke and Melnick, 1958) and “Van Gogh syndrome” (Abram, 1966). The above titles either are abusive to the patients and to the hospitals and doctors they accept these patients or they do not prove ther aetiology.…”
