Multiwavelength search and studies of active galaxies

Abstract: We review the field of active galaxies (both AGN and Starbursts) focusing on their multiwavelength search and studies at the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory (BAO). Many famous historical surveys carried out in Byurakan are known and many more are active and ongoing. We give examples of studies in optical wavelengths, IR, radio and X-ray, as well as multiwavelength studies.
