Abstract:Plasmonic sensing using surface plasmon resonances remains an area with unclear detection limits. The introduction of metallic nanostructures as nanoantennas can improve plasmonic sensing through localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPR), complex lattice effects, and simultaneous propagating plasmons. The combination of plasmonic effects through near or far-field coupling lead to more complex phenomena called plasmonic hybridization. Multivariate analysis methods significantly improve the sensing performance… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
