Multitasking in an OCLC environment: the University of Louisville experience

Abstract: Reports on opportunities at the Louisville Ekstrom Library provided by the introduction of the new OCLC PRISM online cataloguing and acquisitions system, the release of new PASSPORT interface software for this system, and the upgrade from terminals to Zenith 286 microcomputers. Reviews the imperative for system change at the library. Assesses the advantages of the new system and steps taken to overcome technical problems.
