Multistability in a physical memristor-based modified Chua’s circuit

Abstract: A physical Sr0.95Ba0.05TiO3 memristor-based modified Chua’s circuit is proposed, which is studied in this paper by means of both theoretical analysis and numerical simulations. The stability of this memristor-based modified Chua’s circuit is analyzed. A systematic investigation of the dynamic behaviors and their dependence on the initial states and circuit parameters is performed, presenting the Lyapunov exponents spectra, bifurcation diagrams, phase diagrams, and Poincaré maps. The circuit emerges multiple dy… Show more

“…By introducing memristors with different nonlinearities into existing circuits, a large number of circuits based on memristor have been proposed and very fruitful results have been obtained [ 32 , 33 , 34 , 35 , 36 , 37 , 38 ]. For example, complex dynamic behaviors have been discovered in various memristor-based circuits, including multistability [ 39 ], transient chaos [ 40 ], and hyperchaos [ 41 ]. Although the research of memristor is more and more abundant now, there are few applications in the experimental teaching system of Electrical and Electronic Technology.…”

“…Some interesting dynamic phenomena were also observed in the memristor chaotic circuit [15][16][17][18]. For example, multistability is a common phenomenon in many nonlinear dynamical systems [19][20][21][22][23][24][25]. In Ref.…”

“…A memristor is a non-linear element. A chaotic system constructed by the memristor can improve the unpredictability and complexity of the system [6][7][8][9][10]. Applying a memristive chaotic system is also one of the research hotspots [11][12][13].…”
